The Rise Up Federal Workers Legal Defense Network is a collaboration of Democracy Forward’s Civil Service Strong initiative, the AFL-CIO, We The Action, and many other partners. Hundreds of thousands of federal workers have had their basic rights violated on the job—including tens of thousands who have been fired illegally.
Rise Up provides free legal support to federal workers affected by the Trump Administration’s anti-worker policies through a network of trained lawyers who are available free of charge.
Need legal assistance?
Rise Up will match current or former federal workers in need of legal assistance arising from their employment with lawyers trained to answer questions and provide information to workers on their rights. Initial consultations are free of charge. Lawyers can provide a variety of assistance from intakes and general guidance to direct representation in appeals or legal proceedings.
Lawyer looking to volunteer?
Lawyers who join the Federal Workers Legal Defense Network provide pro bono support for federal workers who have been fired or have concerns about their employment rights. Lawyers receive training to help workers understand their rights and legal options.
